5 gaming events in the second half of 2024

The gaming community in Germany is growing steadily and is constantly inspiring new trends, games and technologies. In the second half of 2024, we can expect numerous exciting events that will make gamers' hearts beat faster. We have selected five that we think are the most exciting and offer a good mix of content and format.

1st Roleplay Verse 2024 

• Date: June 8-9, 2024
• Location : Turbinenhalle, Oberhausen
• Description : The Roleplay Verse is a must for all fans of role-playing games. This convention takes place in the impressive Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen and offers a wide range of activities and exhibitions related to tabletop, LARP and video games. It is the perfect place to immerse yourself in fantasy worlds, experience new adventures and exchange ideas with like-minded people. In addition to numerous workshops and panels, there are also large exhibition areas where the latest trends and products in the field of role-playing games are presented.

2nd Anime Messe Babelsberg

• Date : July 19-21, 2024
• Location : Filmpark Babelsberg, Potsdam
• Description : Although primarily an anime convention, Anime Messe Babelsberg also has a strong gaming focus. With gaming areas, competitions and anime-related video games, it offers a unique mix of anime and gaming.

3. Gamescom 2024

• Date : August 21 to 25, 2024
• Location : Koelnmesse, Cologne
• Description : Gamescom is the world's largest event for computer and video games. It attracts developers, publishers and gaming enthusiasts from all over the world. The trade fair offers a platform for the presentation of new games and technologies, numerous panels and workshops as well as a huge exhibition area.

• Date: October 11-13, 2024
• Location: Hamburg Messe, Hamburg
• Description: The Polaris Convention is a relatively new but fast-growing event in the German gaming and pop culture scene. It offers a mix of gaming, anime, manga and pop culture. Visitors can look forward to numerous booths, cosplay competitions, gaming tournaments and workshops. The Polaris Convention offers a broad platform for fans to share their passions and discover new trends.

• Date: November 14-16, 2024
• Location: Alte Münze, Berlin
• Description: Games Ground covers all facets of the gaming culture and industry, both in terms of content and interdisciplinary . The first two days are reserved exclusively for the games industry and trade visitors, followed by the community day for private visitors. The exhibition area, the so-called "Exhibition Area", is to be expanded with an additional room to provide more space for the content and activities.
